ClearPath Business Advisors is excited to announce that CEO Patrick Bormann has been named the recipient of the 2023 Lifetime Achievement Award by Vistage, the world’s largest CEO coaching and peer advisory organization for small and midsize businesses. According to Vistage, “The Lifetime Achievement Award honors long-standing members who see no finish line in their pursuit of world class. With a track record of bold decisions benefiting ClearPath Business Advisors, the community, and beyond, Patrick Bormann is a beacon to his peers.”
Over the course of his 20 years at ClearPath, Patrick helped the company grow from a handful of professionals to a growing company focused on helping business owners build healthy, sellable businesses whether they plan to sell or not.
During this time, he served as a trusted advisor to more than 200 clients. His efforts on behalf of our clients have included more than a hundred M&A projects and dozens of long-term engagements in fractional positions such as Chief Financial Officer.
Patrick was touched by the recognition, saying “It’s an honor to receive the 2023 Vistage Lifetime Achievement Award. It is both humbling and exhilarating to win this award since it represents being recognized by your peers in such a prestigious organization.”
Vistage Chair Scott Reeves nominated him for the award, saying “Patrick has always shown up humble with a genuine heart but still asking challenging questions and providing unparalleled advice and support to all his other peer group members in group setting as well as separately outside of group meetings with her members.”
Patrick recently celebrated one of the top highlights of his career: the successful sale of longtime ClearPath client A Plus Tree. For a decade, Patrick served as CFO of the company and worked closely with CEO Cyrus DeVere to protect the financial interests of the family of the late founder, Jeremy Tibbets. Under their combined leadership, the company saw its revenues grow more than 37x and the family of the founder saw their financial objectives met and future protected.
In addition to his work for our clients, Patrick still finds time to give back. He has been a volunteer umpire and board member for the Contra Costa Umpire Association for 22 years, a contributor to the Betty Ross Foundation, and sits on the Board of the nonprofit Davis Street healthcare and community services provider.
Despite many tremendous professional and philanthropic accomplishments during his career, the lifetime achievement that Patrick is most proud of is the family he raised with his wife of 40 years, Cyndy. Together, they are the proud parents of two sons Brett and Trevor, and daughter Kristianna. Last year, they welcomed their first grandchild into the family.
Patrick’s well-deserved lifetime achievement award is a testament to his impressive career as a strategic business advisor, mentor, and community member.
