To help our clients achieve success on their terms is, personally, very fulfilling. And I love working with my ClearPath team. Multi-disciplinary Business Executive: CEO, CFO, Legal and Accounting skill
M&A: Chris’ M&A experiences comes from his time as CFO and In-House Legal at Vermont Castings, CFM Majestic and The North Face, plus 5 years as a member of an M&A Advisory Services team for $2.6B PacifiCorp Financial Services and 19 years+ at ClearPath. Overall, 105 Buy transactions; 68 Sale transactions and 140 M&A projects – total 312.
The Right Thing: “We have a business model, compensation structure and set of core values that provide maximum assurance that we will do the right thing for our clients. Whether that means we advise our clients to sell, keep or walk away from a transaction. Our ultimate goal is to help our clients create a salable business, whether they want to sell or not.”
Community Service: Board Chairman for Blue Oaks Church. Treasurer and Board member for Teen Esteem. Active fundraiser for the National MS Society and participant in the annual Bike MS event. Previously, Chris acted as a Board member and treasurer for the Red Window Project.
COO and Partner
We participate in each client’s business and provide actionable advice as if we were an owner of the business. We have become friends with many of our clients and are treated like part of the work family.
Multi-disciplinary Business Executive: COO, CFO, General Manager, VP Sales, Marketing and Distribution with additional experience in HR, Product Development, and Legal counsel.
M&A: More than 50 transactions — 43 buy-side and 7 sell-side.
The Right Thing: Developed financial and business plan growing one client from $1.9 to $20M in sales over four years; facilitated owner buy-out to make one company 100% ESOP; helped another company secure LOC and grow business 50% and also walk away from an acquisition that wouldn’t deliver the right value.
Community Service: Patrick is a Board member for Contra Costa Umpire Association and for the Betty Ross Foundation, supporting athletic and academic enrichment for less fortunate inner-city students from middle school through college.
Senior Vice President
We make “move the needle” differences in our clients’ businesses. This is a very personal business, and when we’re able to bring all our resources to bear, we change our clients’ lives for the better. It is very gratifying!

M&A: End-to-end management of more than $450M in M&A enterprise value; experience with hundreds of PE firms, buyers and sellers.

Community Service: Mark participates in youth sports coaching, as well as being an active homeowner’s board member.

Community Service: Dan is the Director and Co-Founder of the non-profit, Active Charity, since 2005. The organization has raised over $4M for various community organizations since it’s inception.
Senior Vice President
It is very satisfying to not only meet our clients’ expectations, but to also show them a complete picture of what is possible with future state process maps, leaving them better equipped to optimize their value going forward.
Multi-disciplinary Business Executive: Founded, developed and transitioned three successful start-ups; also served as Vice President/General Manager and Director of Operations roles.
M&A: Two sell-side acquisitions and a merger prior to joining ClearPath.
The Right Thing: Drove ERP replacement based first on process mapping finance and control systems to optimize leverage; also helped create inventory control and move client to cycle counting with future state process maps. Set up client to manage go-forward process.
Community Service: Kevin acts as an Advisory council member with his wife, Kate, for Agape Villages foster family placement agency.

Helping businesses create a healthy, sellable business whether they plan to sell or not means our interests are always aligned with the interests of the business. Partnering with businesses to fully execute our recommendations reinforces this alignment.
Multi-disciplinary Business Executive: Experienced executive and senior leader in Business Development, Strategic Partnerships, Sales, Operations and Leadership Communications.
M&A: Has seen M&A from the inside. Played a major role as part of team responsible for securing approval in California for the SBC-AT&T merger; Led all aspects of executive & internal communications integration planning for Google’s acquisition of Motorola Mobility.
The Right Thing: Developed a strategic partnership plan between a Fortune 20 technology company and a major global e-commerce company across functions and business units, facilitating success for the two companies as a whole instead of just the business unit he led.
Community Service: Brad is a Board member and the Corporate Development Chair for JDRF Bay Area. JDRF is the leading global organization funding type 1 diabetes (T1D) research. Our strength lies in our exclusive focus and singular influence on the worldwide effort to end T1D.
Senior Consultant & Executive Assistant to the CEO
It is extremely fulfilling to not only work with a company who promotes creating a healthy, sellable business, but also to work with Clients who are just as eager as us to drive value in their business.
3+ years as Sr. Consultant : works closely with the ClearPath executive team members to provide support on M&A transactions and high level financial and strategic analysis to CEOs.

CPA / Education: Licensed CPA in California with a Bachelor’s degree in Business and a Master’s degree in Accounting specializing in Financial Accounting.
Business Analytics, Valuation & Forecasting: Over 5 years at PwC with progressive scope of responsibility leading financial statement audits with valuation review engagements. Ability to analyze, identify, and communicate financial weaknesses and opportunities to help our clients grow and increase the value of their businesses.
The Right Thing: Worked extensively with client management to deliver projects on time and budget while effectively training over 50 prospective CPA candidates..
Community Service: Avid animal advocate with a passion for Pandas, supporting the Cheng du Research Base for Giant Pandas. Closer to home, providing support to the Tri-Valley Animal Rescue and hope to get involved in the fostering program for homeless kittens.
Senior Analyst and Consultant

2+ years as Senior Analyst: works closely with executive team members to provide high level financial analysis to CEOs by creating & maintaining financial models, cash flows, and P&L forecasts.

Experienced Accounting Professional: Manages ClearPath’s internal accounting needs as well as the accounting and financial support for one of our longest-standing clients. Just as important, acts as the glue that holds ClearPath together as our Office Manager.
Prior Experience: 20+ years of accounting experience, with positions at Bank of America, Hewlett-Packard and Independent Consulting Services.
